BorderlessMarketer is a free weekly newsletter and website. Each issue shares remote marketing jobs outside Africa that people in Nigeria and EMEA can apply for, along with marketing news and tactics you can use.
We are run from Lagos, Nigeria, and we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. That means we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us at hello@borderlessmarketer.com.
This policy covers our website and our emails. It does not cover other websites that we link to, such as employer career pages or news publishers.
We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers, CVs or job applications. When you apply for a role, you apply on the employer’s own site, and we never see your application. Please do not send us sensitive personal information.
We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases.
We do not sell your personal data.
We share information only in these cases:
We do not give your personal details to employers or sponsors. If we share audience statistics with a partner, they are combined and do not identify you.
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use essential cookies to make the website work, and analytics cookies to understand how the website is used. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website may not work properly if you do.
Every issue has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click stops the newsletter. You can also email hello@borderlessmarketer.com and ask us to remove you.
We act on unsubscribe requests promptly, and always within 10 days. After that, you may still receive a single message confirming your request.
We are based in Nigeria, and some of our service providers store or process data in other countries, including in Europe and the United States. When your information is transferred across borders, we use safeguards that the law accepts, such as written contracts with data protection terms. More detail is on our Data Protection page.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our Data Protection page describes our approach in more detail.
Depending on where you live, you can:
To use any of these rights, email hello@borderlessmarketer.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to reply within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
BorderlessMarketer is for adults. You must be at least 18 to subscribe. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their data, tell us and we will delete it.
Our issues link to employer career pages, job boards and news sites. We do not control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply once you leave ours. Please review them before sharing your details.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page, and if the changes are significant, we will tell subscribers by email or with a notice on the website.
